Abstract:

The school library plays the most pivotal role in strengthening the teaching- learning process at the secondary education level. The formation of a well- organised library provides access to academic resources, promotes reading habits, enhances independent learning, and improves students’ academic achievement. This paper highlights the formation of a school library and its importance. It analyses its impact on students’ intellectual development, literacy skills, academic performance, and overall educational outcomes in secondary school. The paper explicitly states the total project report and this study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach based on existing educational research and empirical findings. The paper concludes that effective library formation significantly contributes to quality secondary education by fostering information literacy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning habits
