Abstract:

This study investigates the relationship between teacher effectiveness, job satisfaction, and occupational stress among secondary school teachers of West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand. The findings reveal that the majority of secondary school teachers exhibit moderate levels of teacher effectiveness, job satisfaction and occupational stress. Approximately 16 to 17% of teachers display high levels of teacher effectiveness, job satisfaction and occupational stress while 14 to 16% demonstrate low levels of these variables (teacher effectiveness- 13.3%, job satisfaction- 15.1%, occupational stress- 15.3%) among 60 secondary school teachers. Moreover, gender does not appear to influence teacher effectiveness, job satisfaction, or occupational stress significantly. However, there is a positive correlation observed between job satisfaction and occupational stress. These findings shed light on the complex interplay between teacher effectiveness, job satisfaction, and occupational stress, highlighting potential areas for intervention and support within secondary school settings. Here the researcher was used all three standardized tools i.e. 1. Teacher Effectiveness Scale (TES) developed by Dr. Pramod Kumar and DN Muthha. 2. Job Satisfaction Scale developed by Dr. (Mrs.) Meera Dixit 3. Occupational Stress Scale developed by Dr. A. K. Srivastava & Dr. A. P. Singh. In this study, descriptive ab well as inferential statistics mean, SD, t-test and r-test were used for data analysis.
