Abstract:

If we examine Husserl’s philosophy closely, we will see that the main tool of his philosophy is  ‘The method of Reduction’. Using this method, he wants to reach his goal, that is, the driving  force of his philosophy is ‘The method of Reduction’ and the destination is to reveal the Life- world. Husserl claims this method as the right tool for achieving a real philosophical attitude or ‘Transcendental attitude’ through which pure consciousness or transcendental consciousness is discovered. Now the question naturally arises why he used this method. That is, what is the purpose of this method? Before searching for the answer, we have to remember the main statement of phenomenology. Husserl wants to say that phenomenology is that methodology or philosophy that helps us to accept ‘phenomena’ in its true form and to understand its nature. Here, by ‘phenomena’ he means the subject of experience presented to pure consciousness, i.e. Husserl’s phenomenology has removed all unexamined traditional ideas and initiated a new way of thinking. He claimed, like other ordinary people, that we are born in the natural world and at the same time we live, grow and work as a human being in this natural world. In the normal state, we do not take this natural view into account as a view as consciously as other views. In fact, these views seem natural because of the limitations of seeing. What Husserl meant was that if we stay in the natural tendency, the true form of consciousness cannot be realized. Because purity is the nature of consciousness. This pure form of consciousness cannot be perceived by engaging ourselves in the natural tendency. That is, since we cannot discover the latent potential of pure consciousness from the natural position, it is considered as a limited entity of this world.
